Additionally, the test specimens do not require machining into standardized shapes, making it ideal for field applications and particularly suitable for assessing low-strength rocks. Loading is performed using a hydraulic jack, with a dual-pointer pressure gauge displaying the applied test force (digital models utilize high-precision pressure sensors combined with electronic measuring instruments). This setup enables rapid determination of both tensile and compressive strength properties of rock materials.
