This instrument employs an optical projection method to magnify and project the contour of the V- or U-notch on the specimen onto a projection screen, where it is then compared directly with standard template diagrams of V- and U-notches displayed on the same screen. This comparison allows for a clear determination of whether the notch machining on the tested specimen meets the required standards. The instrument offers significant advantages, including simple operation, intuitive visual inspection, and high efficiency.
