The RP-R11 Type Pavement Marking Retroreflectometer is designed to measure the retroreflective luminance coefficient of pavement markings. The unit of measurement is mcd/(m² · cd). Its key features include simulating the scenario where vehicle headlights illuminate pavement markings (made from retroreflective materials) during nighttime driving on highways, allowing drivers inside the cab to observe the resulting brightness. The primary parameter measured is the nighttime retroreflective luminance coefficient, commonly referred to as the RL value. This instrument is easy to operate and provides reliable measurement results, making it suitable for both laboratory settings and field applications.
