Purpose
The RPR12-type marking retroreflectometer is designed to measure the retroreflection luminance coefficient of road markings. Its primary feature lies in simulating the scenario where a vehicle's headlights illuminate the (retroreflective material-based) markings on the road surface during nighttime driving, and the brightness observed by the driver inside the cab after reflection. The key parameter measured is the nighttime retroreflection luminance coefficient, represented by the RL value. This instrument is easy to operate, delivers reliable measurement results, and is suitable both for laboratory settings as well as field applications.
