Product Description

Purpose

Suitable for determining the saturation ratio of asphalt mixtures, this method can be applied to quality control of mixtures at asphalt mixing plants, as well as for evaluating the quality of compacted asphalt mixtures during pavement investigations and old road assessments. Unless otherwise specified, all tests are conducted under ambient room temperature conditions.

Technical Specifications

1. Connect the power supply; the power switch and the hour/minute display window will light up, indicating readiness for operation.

2. The instrument is equipped with an electrical contact vacuum gauge featuring upper and lower limits, which can be set according to the requirements of the test. When the vacuum gauge needle reaches the lower limit, the vacuum pump stops operating; conversely, when the needle reaches the upper limit, the vacuum pump resumes operation, ensuring that the desired vacuum level is maintained throughout the test.

3. Securely close the vacuum canister lid, tighten it firmly, and press the vacuum button to start the vacuum pump. The timer will begin recording the duration. To stop the vacuum pump, press the stop button.
