Purpose
Suitable for determining the floatability of slow-setting liquid petroleum asphalt, distillation residues, coal tar asphalt, and other materials.
The Asphalt Floating Test Apparatus is used to determine the floating degree of asphalt samples placed in a specified flotation apparatus at a controlled temperature.
The time required for softening and breaking through the water in the graduated sink is expressed in seconds. Unless otherwise specified, the test temperature for residual materials obtained from liquid petroleum asphalt distillation is 50°C, while for coal tar pitch, the test temperature is either 32°C or 50°C.
This instrument features a dual-tank design, with independent temperature control for both the low-temperature and high-temperature tanks. It allows for pre-setting of curing and test temperatures, making operation convenient and saving valuable time.
