Product Introduction
This instrument complies with JTG E60-2019 "Field Testing Procedures for Highway Subgrade and Pavement" and is used to determine the surface texture depth of asphalt pavements and un-grooved cement concrete pavements, in order to evaluate the skid resistance of the pavement. The principle is to spread a known volume of dry sand with specified particle size into a circular area on the pavement surface. The ratio of the volume of sand to the average area of the covered surface is referred to as the pavement texture depth, measured in millimeters.
